How to Enable MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)?
What is MFA?
Multi-Factor Authentication is a process that requires an account holder to use more than one authentication method for successful authentication. For example, your password as well as a code from an app. Add a layer of security by enabling MFA. After specific actions, a 6-digit code will be requested.
As of October 31st, goLance requires users to enable MFA. Doing so will ensure that only the account holder has access and control of their account, making it more secure.
Let us look at how we can set up MFA successfully on goLance accounts:
Set Up MFA
Please remember to keep the authentication app that you download. You will need the app to generate the codes that you will use.
Log into your goLance account and head over to your account settings.

Navigate to the security tab

A popup modal will appear asking for the authentication code from the app. Now pause there and get your smartphone. You will need to complete the following steps in order to continue:
Download the authentication app of your choice via the Play Store or the Apple Store. You could use Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Please ensure that you are downloading and using a reputable authenticator app.
Open the app and choose to add a personal account.
You will be asked if you would like to enter a code manually or scan a QR code. Choose either option and then you get your computer again. You will have the QR code or manual code on the screen. Use your smartphone to enter or scan the QR code.
Please do not delete this app. You will need to input a new code from the app each time your account requests it.
